Cheating At Blackjack

There is a general perception that those who are in the habit of counting cards in blackjack are basically indulging in activities that could be called unfair or in blunt words as cheating. However when one looks at the overall strategy while playing blackjack counting cards can in no way be construed as cheating. In fact for many, many years it has been it has been one of the best strategies. If it is looked at simple terms it is nothing but making use of information available in an intelligent and smart fashion that helps the player to improve the odds as far as winning is concerned. Though there is no ground to call such counting as cheating, in most of the casinos it is not allowed, especially in online casinos. This is considered as outright cheating at blackjack and has to be avoided at all costs. Since casino owners have the right of admission and expulsion, any players who it caught cheating at blackjack (or even counting the cards) is often debarred or banned and all his earnings are considered as unfair and are taken away.

Apart from counting cards which is considered a form of cheating at blackjack there are also other activities which could also fall under this category. There are quite a few of them who have a habit of marking cards. This is done discreetly and deftly using some finger nail marking which is also considered another form of cheating at blackjack. Such type of marking helps the players to understand what type of cards has been dealt to the opponent by having a look at the fingernail markings. However, this is possible only in brick and mortar environment.

There are other forms of cheating too and these could by switching cards that has been in vogue for the past many years. This is nothing but taking your own cards and having them switched over when the actual game is being played. However this again cannot be possible in online blackjack games.
